Send your good Karma to Spudmurphy?

Hi guys

At the moment I'm pooping myself!

I have to travel to London and have an interview to get promotion within HM Government, I will have to deliver a presentation to heads of Department and I'll be grilled in an interview.

It has been an achievement to get my application to the interview stage and I'll be up against strong candidates.

At least I give presentations for a living so I'm not worried about that - it's just all the corporate mumbo jumbo that I'll have to regugitate.

I have my nice Italian suit all pressed - but I'd rather be like Sterling and turn up dressed as a Pirate or something.

So guys 11:00 GMT Tuesday morning - think of me!

Lol Not too far from me then! Take it you'll be going into Paddington then getting tube up to Euston?

Is your new job (if all goes well) still going to be based in Wales then?

Well I was - then I had the offer of a lift - and an overnight stay.

I'll be taking the train from Paddington back home.

I'll be based in Cardiff but will still have to travel a lot - probably in charge of a team of 30.

Cheers Colin - I'm practicing the lingo!!

Anybody an expert on Kaizen problem solving??

Good luck with that!

You could try dressing like a thieving pirate but then they'd think you were Ken Livingstone.

I know, biting political satire there!

Good Luck Spud!

Mind you, if they're anything like the good people at HMRC that I've had to deal with recently, it shouldn't be too hard!!!

Thumbs up

Consider it done!

...Hummmmm...
Be cool...
Hummmmm...
And You'll rule...

They're only people. I do a lot of interviews with people/press and what works best for me - in most cases, if I feel uncomfortable - is to think that person without all the titles he/she has - just a friendly face.

Then, at first, I try respond to them in the same manner as they speak to me and later on I become more like "me" (in a good way), so that they can get a glimpse of "what lies beneath the surface".
But as long as You KNOW Your stuff, You'll make the best of it.

Slightly off topic, but guess it's just my way to send good karma.
