Brett Favre Retires!

For those of us who are Packer fans...this is a sad day.

An end of an incredible era.

ESPN - Favre tells Packers he's retiring - NFL

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I live just outside of Green Bay. The whole area will go into mourning.

Not a Packers fan per se...but, how could you not love Brett Favre? Awesome QB who brought many great memories for me.

Good for him. It's nice to see a great athlete who chooses to retire before the decision is made for him, because it doesn't happen often. Of course, the same columnists who berated him for coming back last year are now berating him for leaving after the Pack got to the NFC championship game. I think he recognized that they had a great run last year, but it was unlikely to happen again. He deserves to go out on his own terms.

I've seen about 260 of his 275 starts. I'm very sad. But, the show must go on...

Godspeed, Brett, the NFL is a bit less classy today...you helped offset the Pats.

(Flame away, they are cheaters )

Yeah it's too bad. But he had one hell of a career. And the Packers had a great year this year. I'm a Bears fan but I was pullin' for the Pack in the playoffs. I was almost positive he was going to come back for one more year. Ohh well.

Hall of Fame here he comes.
