Louis' poem #4 for a love weekend
Hi, another poem (#4 so far in fact ) to get the lovin' feelin' started,
enjoy this one together! ![]() Surely a look. Surely a look, or breath upon your cheek Will tell you all. Why should I speak? Do you love me? A question repeated, Yet deepest love's so surely seated. While I share your craving to hear the sweetest song, Mere words are clouds that harm and do us wrong. Emotions so real, I feel words break our spell, to turn our shared Heaven into separate Hell. Safe in your arms I feel so strong Yet strangely weak. Surely a look, or breath upon your cheek Will tell you all. Why should I speak? From: ‘Wild Asters’ Copyright 2001 Louis J. Casson, Purple Squirrel Poems, an imprint of Cryptic Furnace Press, Northampton. Email Louis the poet on: johncasson57@hotmail.com |
