How We Work Around Here (for all @ EBMM)

How We Work Around Here.
(for all at EBMM).

Selecting Ash for bodies blanks, PCS 373 for you or me?
Then boards are planed to stack in raw,
the CNC mill will come up next,
drill pickup holes, drill angled just right.

The Jack hole made, we sand transitions
to show clear grain in the wood,
nature assisted more beautiful still,
finishing base coat, dries on the rack, top coat spray
goes to sanding for buffing,
Y2D place knobs, test controls to the sound.

The hands of technicians are conductors too,
weaving the symphony of parts together precisely with care,
blending to bring joy.
And the synergy: of wood and metal and paint
And human judgment, skill in the knowledgeable eye,
Show in each piece we make with pride.

Prep to the strings, load axis piece pre-amp, designing the headstock, wire control assembly.
Attaching the pre-amp, prep pickup lead wire
Wind the pickup coil, just so many turns, no more,
that’ll do for me.

Deburring the bridge plate, drill and tap saddles,
to ship and go raise smiles on it’s owners face.
We know in the night you’ll get up, go down stairs
and peek, so we made it with care
in it’s own fitted case.

Keep viewing the process, the message is clear
With hands, skill and love
That’s how we, Ernie Ball MusicMan,
Work around here.
How We Work Around Here.

Thanks to all I met at Blind Lemon's bash on Saturday - great to meet you Beth, who sparked me to make this poem after I mentioned The Process sequence of pics on the EBMM website!

Way to go Billy, nice one!

The "opposite" might be...

Violets are blue, roses are red
EBMM's way too cool
Enough said!

Billy the rhymers line's scan to please
His love of his axe
Our approval will tease.

And lead us to go
Downtown with this end
To order another EBMM friend.
