Beths birthday missed.

Although the poet your b'day missed
Perhaps these lines will please?
Fret not dear Beth there's no offence
These lines, they're just a gentle tease.

B...eautiful
E...ntrancing
T...ruthful
H...eavenly

Oh!

B...eguiling
E...nticing
T...antalising
H...hmmm!

(enough or my wife will banish me to the garden shed forever! )

A Differing Faith.

Why do you say that?
Easy peasy religion
Prayer catches gifts falling.

Why do you think that?
Candy cotton catholic
Reeling out priestly platitudes.

My God and faith seem afar
No easy God I wrestle with
While others hold Sunday in a jar.


Unknown Angel Lullaby.

The distant child sings an uncertain melody,
of secrets half way down the hall from me.

His piping treble weaves and goes to my ears,
Some distant lullaby to sooth the unknown hearers cares,
Who’ll dream now bye and bye.

So distant child I’ve yet to meet
Sing out your gift, make rest complete.
