Louis Blues poem #5
Hello,
And welcome to another blues poem, this time on not being understood. Have a great weekend and week. Best wishes, Louis Seems I’m Always Welcome Somewhere (But That Doesn’t Include Here) When you don’t understand their way of talking, Simply don’t get it. When they think they understand your intentions, Then you find there’s some misfit. Then that’s the time you realise that the same means Different to different eyes from you, Nothing you can do. Hear the news and blues a different way Depending on your chair Seems you’re always welcome somewhere But that doesn’t include here. When your gal answers you “uh huh” Then you find she’s got it all unclear. You’d ordered solid maple, When they deliver it’s veneer. It’s then that you realise, That when you talk they hear no sound. And all the plans you meant to carry out Have fell on stony ground. Hear the news and blues a different way Depending on your chair Seems you’re always welcome somewhere But that doesn’t include here. From "Mr. Blues" © Louis J.
