Thumbs up Ever Changing Times

I am really digging this album! It's been a long time since Luke's last one (not counting Santamental), and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy his solo albums.

Question for Lucious: What amp did you use to record The Truth? I love your tone on this song!

It's the best CD I've heard in a very long time. It has some very tasty melodies and great lyrics.

I doubt Luke has the time to answer personal questions. Just my opinion though.

Amps: 100+ watt "Overtone Special" by Ceriatone with 4-6550's, Fender 60 watt Hot Rod Deville 212.
Volt would love it if Luke and Larry (Mr.335) did another tour and another DVD.

Happy to answer questions

Hey guys,
Happy Fathers day to all that qualify. haha

I used all vintage amps on the record. Plugged straight in and did any efx at the mixing desk.
Old Ac-30's, Magnatone, Gibson, Supro amps and my sons Marshall thru an ISP-sub woofer system to make the little amps sound huge and the big amp bigger.
Maybe a stomp box ot 2 but nothing earthshattering. You guys have all the same **** I believe.
Thanks for the kind words. I am starting my tour in europe on Fri and leave WED..
I WILL be playing alot of USA dates as well which will be posted on my website by the end of next week. www. Stevelukather.net
Hope to see some of you knucjkleheads out there somewhere soon.
Lucious

I'm happy that statement proved to be wrong.

I'd like to know what you guys (most guitarists these days) use to get such great sustain for soloing. (?)

Luke thanx for the insight on what you used to record this album/cd/music.

Good luck on the tour man, can't wait to see you when you hit the states.

I've been posting here for best part of 2 years now.

I still get a massive buzz from the fact that someone of the stature of Steve Lukather makes time to post here, and to answer questions like this. Luke is a huge musical influence on me - and the fact he hangs here, really does speak volumes about him, Ernie Ball Musicman, and everyone here.

A million thanks for your time Lucious. Can't wait to see the new tour next year in the UK.

Wazzup ??

Hello Knuckleheads!

I am in Denmark about to make my way to Sweden and life is good.
First 2 shows with my new band went great and I am groovin trying to get my "sea-legs" and getting my chops together.
looking forward to meeting all you guys. My new USA dates will be posted soon and the Europe run is on my website.
I am one lucky mother ****er to get to travel and get paid to play the guitar. Thanks for that cause its YOU guys that make that happen.
Missing home but its OK cause home is great. I miss my new baby and my oldest kids as well. Trev is opeing up for me on all LA shows and hopefully more. Its a family hang!
Thanks to Brian, Scotty and Biff and all for getting him on the WARP tour gig. Very cool and many thanks! Trev makes me very proud. When your own son is your best friend it makes an old guy like me smile very very hard every day. I am surely blessed! My dauhgters are too cool as well. As I said, life is good.

Wishing you all the best and thanks for the support and to all the Music man family for the being the best there is! I have many cool guitars I play during the set. Only MM. The best!
Lucious on the road

Hey Luke!

I just bought the new CD Friday evening and it's killer. I listened to it twice yesterday. Excellent tunes, playing, production, etc.

Please book a gig in Cleveland, OH. We have a House of Blues now that would be perfect. I see that you'll be in Detroit, so we're not that far away. Satriani is playing there in Oct.

I was at the Rock Hall/ Guitar Player event (where you were a judge) a few years ago and my colleague from school, Dominic Frasca won. You Tube him sometime to see what he's up to and checkout the "Impossible Guitar" video. Amazing stuff.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Take care and thanks for the continued inspiration. Hope to see you on the Road!

Roxy

My 14-year old daughter has been playing my copy of Ever Changing Times to her buddies at school...they're all hooked! They all want to get their own copy now. Some of them are even putting links on their MySpace pages to the Ever Changing Times samples on Luke's MySpace page. Looks like you've got a new generation of fans, Lucious...keep those records coming!
