Tyler Dow Bryant

For you guys that didn't make it, Tyler Dow Bryant put on a performance Saturday night that was out of this world. All of the performances were absolutely awesome the entire event but Tyler's set was the highlight of the weekend for me. And not just his amazing guitar work...his singing was just as effortless and dead on. It is a beautiful experience to hear someone play with such feeling and emotion. I am still thinking about him flying off the stage and killing the crowd with Hendrix.

Tyler...it was really an honor to meet you in person. You're already a star in my book man and you've got a fan for life here.

I Love This Shot!

I was shooting low in front of the stage as Tyler jumped down to flow through the crowd - he squeaked right by me as I snapped away...

The kid can play! Definitely a joy to experience and one to watch!

Jaw-dropping.

We'll be hearing more from him, no doubt. Good thing, too.

I've already volunteered to be his keyboard man, till he hires Jimmy Cox.

I’ve been bragging about him and Ben a lot lately. It’s going to be fun to watch his career thru the years. I mean, he’s so damn young and so good, he’s got BP, Ben and a whole slue of rock stars behind him, plus all of us… the sky is the limit for that young man! Even my unimpressed with anything son thought he rocked. I had a blast hanging out with him and Ben.

I will echo all the words above - plus add - it was great getting to talk to you, Ben and Tyler, at breakfast and then at the airport. You have a great future ahead of you.

Sterling referred to Tyler as the most exciting young guitarist he's heard in a very long time.

I can't believe how good this kid is. And how he made a quantum jump from the dallas bash where he wowed everyone then. And his voice is a cross between John mayer and Eric Johnson. Unbelievably gifted.

Luckily, I was in the room next door so we got to jam a little with only a couple of others in the room. The kid is now working on Albert Lee style playing and sounds great. Count me as a big fan.

And thanks for coming over and listening to me too.

Which is how I've always thought of you.

Tyler, I've never said much to you about how glad I am to know you, to have met you, learned to love you and been truly amazed at how gifted you are and how hard you work to become a better all-around musician.

I'm honored to count you amongst my friends on this earth. And I just can't wait to see what happens to you next.

Thanks for who you are, my man. You rock.

Jack

PS: Oh yeah, Ben, good bassist, blah blah blah.

I'm not really feeling the sincerity from the third "blah," frankly.
