Post Our Desert Jeep Tour - A Pictorial Review!

For those of you who did not see it, here's what it was like...

Jeeps picked us up right at the hotel and we were on our way!

________________________________________________

Artichoke seedlings en route...

________________________________________________

This canal brings water from the Colorado river into the area to irrigate the farmland.

________________________________________________

Sink-hole? Hey, we're right along the San Andres fault!

________________________________________________

Here's what the palm trees look like naturally.

________________________________________________

And they lose their lower, dried leaves to fire -
usually due to lighting strikes or spontaneous combustion due to friction.

________________________________________________

Siggy checking out a wood-pecker hole - hmmm...

________________________________________________

Them palms can be a bit thorny...

________________________________________________

Walking the canyons...

________________________________________________

That's our driver Jim with our ride - the Ghostwalker...

________________________________________________

In case you get lost in the desert...

________________________________________________

Came across this little ol' mining town...
(BP - this company throws parties out in the desert. Company picnic stuff.)

________________________________________________

Got thrown in jail with this ol' timer...

________________________________________________

...then got sprung and made a run for it!

________________________________________________

Nice place for a cold, er, warm one!

________________________________________________

We didn't have the heart to tell Rob it was just a bail of hay...

________________________________________________

Anybody seen the Automated Teller Machine around here?

________________________________________________

Higher elevations...

________________________________________________

Our gang at the summit! From left to right:
Sigmunds Couch, adelucia, Siggy's wife Amy, my wife Angela, Roburado and Driver Jim!

________________________________________________

We had a blast! Thanks so much BP!!!

Nice Pics. Speaking of faults, we just had two earthquakes last night that shook me out of my sleep. We are always rocking and rolling here .
