I've looked at all the picture-threads from the bash and I thought when I looked at the scale of it all and the details and attention that were put into it that it had to be quite expensive.
I have to agree with my fellow norwegian and say that I have never seen anything like it and I think it's so amazingly cool that BP and crew did this!
It says a lot about BP and EBMM, and it's not lost on me. I may even have to buy some EB-shirts now so I can promote EBMM even when I'm not playing!

I just am tired of people being sensitive to being a fanboy...big deal. There are worse things to be fans of. Im a fan of my own company..I am a fan of the people that work for me Iam also a fan of my customers....whats the big deal?......The people hurling that weak asses insult are equally biased and excited over some other guitar comapny....THeir loss!

Very true. You and the company make kick-a** guitars and basses, strings, accesories and have the human element of loyalty, friendship, honor and respect that go along w/ it. I'm proud to be associated w/ that and have the same loyalty, friendship, honor and respect w/ your company and others in life. You're a great example to look up to and follow.-----Label that statement whatever you want, I'm just speaking the truth.

I am proud to sport the Fanboy Guitar Pics.

Next, I plan to print all of the above quote on a tour jacket!

You rock, boss.

That is so true.

I occasionally pop over to the Harmony Central forum (although most of the time it scares me to do so). I'm a really big fan of Pete Cornish effects and the like, but when you see any thread there about him, it's almost as though there is genuine hostility.

These same people though are always posting about how great xyz pedals or amps are. It's just the same with guitars.

It just strikes me that some people think it's 'cool' to mock any sort of enthusiasm that people show towards a product or company. It's a bit like being back at school at times. I'm really glad that the folks here, on the whole, are capable of having a reasonable discussion.

Anyway, let's get a UK knuckleheads bash sorted!!

I had a brief chat on Saturday night with the GC folks that just came from Glenburnie MD (i.e. PRS forum party). Suffice it to say the EB torch shines through.

Same sentiments from J.L. from Guitar Player. I actually got to chat with him for quite awhile and he was absolutely floored.

<-----FANBOI and damn proud of it.....

Nothing more admirable than loyalty in most cases....if that makes me a "fanboy" then I'm totally fine with it. Our interest, and total devotion to this company speaks volumes about the product and the individuals who run it...period!

Cheers guys!

um.... im voting the next one should be the MIDWEST TAKEOVER!!! (Minneapolis/St. Paul, or Chi town). just a thought. but to stay on track i think that BP is the most generous person. He throws us knuckleheads huge partys. I've never had a 90K+ party before (and i probably wont). The man basically welcomed us into his home. and im very greatful for that. too bad i didn't get to go(had school )

Ladies, just please go easy on the location suggestions for 'next time'.

As BP said, there are definite advantages to being close to either SLO or Coachella. Those who've been to both places know exactly what I mean. But let's go ahead and savor this one for a few months before getting the itchy trigger finger, okay?

Biff, someone once told me, "There's no scorecard."

To which I said, "I think I'm glad there isn't."

We shouldn't be presumptuous to think that EB throw one of these shindigs every year - I know where Smelly is coming from though, and if one was on the cards for 2008 or 2009 it would be great to have early notice to arrange leave and get some money laundered, sorry I meant saved!!
I've signed the "Official secrets Act" so I won't tell anybody if the wink was tipped to me

Edit
Shoot Smelly I didn't realise how far 8loody Inverness was from Edinburgh!!
How long would it take to drive from Edinburgh to Inverness assuming that you have roads, electricity, water etc etc ?

Do tell. Thom was going there yesterday with some of his Texas Heat (country band) buds to 'window shop' as he put it. Wonder if the desert bash came up in conversation....?

I wear my EB tshirts all the time. Whenever I get asked about them, I talk up the company, its products and its people. Even if I'm not wearing them, I talk it up.

I was at a birthday gathering for a friend last night and it turned out her brother works in a music store near Hershey, PA (Marty's). Unfortunately, it only carries a few EB accessories and outsourced guitars of much lesser quality. He was chatting about how cool it was that some of the endorsed artists would come into the store and they got to meet them. When I launched into a description of the recent bash and talked about the beautiful EB guitars he didn't have anything to say except that their client base is a lot of middle school kids and there is a market for cheap, used guitars (!).
Shameless, proud EB promotion!
Janice

And, because of this, and the fact I can never thank you enough for all the enjoyment YOU"VE made possible for me, I put it upon myself to that extra step and time when I go to music stores, gigs, jams, etc. . to talk/promote to others about EBMM guitars, basses, strings, etc. . . This is something I MUST do, otherwise I can't sleep at night!! LOL

When I am able to buy EBMM products I do it at a sacrifice many times (Bass-sic has enough shoes anyway), as I would imagine many of us do. I guess it's my very small, unseen way of saying "Thank You" BP!!
