Nice.

So Dan, can you tell us anything else about them?

Well, I know they were modeled after the Schallers, but are machined to be even more heavy-duty. They have a 360 degree radius, and over 600 lb. test. They are monsters. What else ... other than we don't have a firm date on when they will hit production. And IMHO, they will be sturdier than anything alse out there.

Schallers make noise? Dunlops rattled on me, but I haven't heard anything from my Schallers.

Ernie Ball Strap Locks
Mechanically engineered to ensure ultimate instrument protection, Ernie Ball’s new Strap Locks feature a push-button, quick-release design, providing a safe, complete 360-degree secure connection to keep your instrument close at hand. Positive locking pins ensure that the locks will not release until the buttons are completely depressed, while the contoured design prevents accidental release. All Ernie Ball Strap Locks are casehardened and steel-plated, making for the most robust and rust-resistant strap lock on the market. Securely fastening buttons mean that Strap Locks can accommodate straps without their own locking mechanisms as well. Available in metallic black, gold and chrome, each Strap Lock easily installs without any instrument modifications whatsoever.
Hi guys, I've spoken to EBs international sales and to some UK retailers they say that the strap locks are expected to hit the shelves in the UK late Spring early Summer... so we're nearly there!! No news on the expected retail price though... but hey, does that really matter?

Dan Where in the hell did you get that we modeled them after Schaller? BS. WE started from scratch. This was my project and we evaluated all of the available systems.

Is there any chance that these straplocks will be incorporated into the MusicMan instruments as either standard equipment or an option? I know that it would add a lot of build codes to make it an option. I for one would not mind having them as standard hardware.. even if the price of the instrument increased enough to cover the straplocks.

These straplocks in particular sound like a good candidate for such a practice because they apparently work (non-locking) even without the proper locking strap.

I am gonna definitely pick up a set of these to try out when they are available. Hopefully the wait will be over soon.
