Exclamation Eb's for Floyd Rose Tremolos!

I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times, but I searched for it and didn't find anything good.

But is there a special set strings made for locking trems? I heard that for floyd rose tremolos you need a less elastic string since the nut is locked.

Any help would be much appreciated!

You don't need special strings for a Floyd, you just have to clip off the ball end. Been using Super Slinkys on my Floyds for a lot of years. No problems to report.

You can also string them backwards, so the ball end is at the tuners. Speeds up the process.

So, sorry for the noob question but, you can't use RPS strings on a Floyd then?

Sure you can. Kind of defeats the purpose, though.
