5 strings!? Does he use an open tuning or something? Is that why only 5 strings?

A lot of his tele's are kept strung with only 5 strings and tuned to an open G.

We packaged a bunch (and I mean a bunch) for Keith in the early to mid-90's. Either we sent him a lifetime supply, or he isn't using them anymore ... last time I saw the Stones play (albeit on TV) pretty sure he was using all 6 strings.
