BP, if there's time... any String Stories?

Hi BP,

As I was restringin' one of my basses with some Group IIIs I got to thinking how cool it's been and is with the new 25th anni. proto and all the behind the scenes stuff there. I also got to thinking if you had any stories/factory shots of the string wing of EB?

I know that you've shared the history of how your dad got the whole thing rolling with being a pioneer of the 'custom gauge' idea as well as some fun stuff with the 5150 strings.

but have there been any manufacturing changes/advancements along the way that stand out as some fun fireside story time stuff?

any Willy Wonka Factory-esque tales of testing out the new coating for the coated strings and not quite getting it just right and then having to scold a few oompah-loompahs?
