Will Flats Help

I was wondering if flats strings sounded good on the MM Stingray 5, It's a 2005 and with rounds it very bright on the D & G. I would like some output before I buy a set. I play Gospel so I need a warm bass tone with good bottom and mids, I don't slap at all so I tend to roll off the treble. Thanks.

trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your guitar...

You can't really go wrong with trying a set. I suggest EB Group III's. Flats last forever. You could always try them and take them off if they don't work-out - and pull them out again downstream for another whirl. It's not a significant investment - especially in context of other things people try, like effects. The other benefits include the smooth feel, less string noise and less wear on your frets - go for it!

Great and inspiring! You have a good gig bass4worship. I play guitar in my church and bass in a rock/pop band. Best of both worlds. Thanks for sharing this with us..
