I've used the D'A------- coated strings and certainly the idea works well. Problem is the D guys sets are hard to find around here in anything other than 45-100 gauge.
The EB geetar sets are readily available. Just put a set of Hybrid Slinkys on a bass and looking forward to trying the coated ones as soon as they are available. Jim
