I have used EB Regular Slinky strings since 1990.

They are the only strings that can handle the power of my rock.

FUNNEE!!!

I finally watched the move I found from a pawn shop last month: "While You Were Sleeping" last night...the guy in the coma had one ball too!!!

I finally restrung my maple neck strat with the Pink Pack yesterday...sweet...finally jammed out after a week of not jammin' for over two hours non-stop.

Kinda crampy on my fretting hand. Thumb was a little stiff and my left foot started to cramp.

I think I'll be looser today....when I plug in again!

"BALLS ARE BEST!"

I use 9-46 because i like the boom of the 10's but the bendability of the 9's, but i've been having a lot string breakage as of late so, i'm consisdering the switch to straight 10's.

I've gone: Slinky 9's (since forever) to GHS boomers 9.5's, to Hybrid Slinkys, which I've been trying out of late. Each has their own good thing, but I think I'm going to hang with Hybrids. Jammed with some friends last night, using them for the first time while playing with others. They shine through really nicely, and they're easy for my lil ole paws to handle.

Okay I'm using
Mostly RPS 10's (which came on the JP) except a Regular Slinky-10 string (36) on the A-string and a Dean Markley Blue Steel-11 (52) on the Low E-String. It's tough to buy strings here so I mix and match with what I got =)

I try to use all 6, but even that's more than my playing can handle.

I'm using regular Ernie Ball 10-46 on guitars that have a 25-1/2 inch scale length.
I find they are really well balanced from the bottom E to the top E and they seem to have a slightly lower "tension at pitch" than D'addario's or other makes. To me 9's lose out in the tone department but having said that I tend to play with a clean or slightly distorted tone a lot.

For guitars with a 24-3/4 scale length I'm using Ernie Ball 11-48.
Most other makers use a 49, 50 or a 51 on their 11 sets but I'm glad Ernie Ball don't: You don't really need the extra beef on a guitar like that. Again, I love how balanced this set is from the low E to the high E.

Interestingly, I use EB 11's on my Silhouette Special because 10's just feel *too* rubbery. A friend had a play on it the other day and said "what have you got on this... 10's?" When I said no, they were 11's he had a hard time believing it!

Roto jazz flats, medium gauge. When I get my bongo, I may go to the heavy gauge.

Cheapest ones I can find off the internet.9s for the Silhouettes and the PRS . 10s for the 335 and the Rics, 11s for the DeArmonds and the Epiphone. Can never seem to hear any difference between brands with electric guitar strings .

Ernie Ball Studio Phosphor Bronze Lights for acoustic....where I CAN hear the difference
