I've been thinking of using my display picture that I use on here, but wanted to know if that would cause any problems (Copyright infringement or something). I was also considering using that in the top left, and a Bongo head in the upper right, just in case the Bongo head would be different from the Stingray...
I wonder what strings you think would suit me. I also bought a pantera tab book from the shop, and thats just usually 1/2 a step to 1 1/2 step down in tuning. Thanks- Ryan

It has been a privilege to of been a member here since June of 07. This place has been like my second family (without the drinking).

In March of 08 I was laid off and still have no job or any irons in the fire. Picking up my guitar and just playing for myself has helped keep me sane during these stressful times.

I have exhausted my savings & my unemployment insurance and now live on Social Assistance. I lost my mother last November, I filed bankruptcy last February, I lost my Jeep and I sold my beloved 2006 Axis last month to help with some bills. I now have to sell my AX40 to help with more bills. Having no guitar is really going to suck!

As soon as I get back on my feet, a Mystic Dream JP will be on order.

If it OK with all you fourmites, I plan on staying a member even thought I don’t own an EBMM guitar. I hope thats ok with everyone.

Help: Can anyone give me their opinion on a LEFT HANDED Ray, Sterling or Bongo 5?

Kids, I am completely new to this forum. I am a LEFTY bassist. I started playing in 1972. I own 8 basses. I want to buy a 5string MM, but I am torn between a Ray and a Sterling, and have no experience at all with a Bongo.

I currently play a G&L2500L and a hot-rodded Bartolini Schecter5, but I am not satisfied. I am looking for the ultimate "uberbass" and I think the MM might be it. I will most likely have to order mine custom. I wanted a Piezo H Ray, but I found out from Ernie Ball people that they don't make a Lefty Piezo.

I am hearing a lot about Sterlings and Bongos on this forum. I was very naive and thought the Sterling was a cheaper Ray and the Bongo was just plain odd. I now know that's completely wrong...

I am more of a Jazz Bass type player, and I like a thin neck, so I am wondering if I would be happier with a Sterling?

It's very hard being a lefty trying to find basses. I usually go to a guitar store, hold a righty, close my eyes and try to feel the neck on different basses to see what fits me. The ones that feel the best are the MM and the Lakland, the latter which I can't afford... Haven't been able to try the Sterling or the Bongo though, only the Ray, and it is soooooo nice....

If anyone can help me with some expertise on the differences between these fine basses it would be a great help! Thanks! ZiggyB

A great weekend and week to you!
Louis :)

Nearly Blues.

Don’t forget to take the last good one in town she said,
You could take the future now
Or see the smiles on someone else’s face instead.

At the graduation day someone I lent my program to
Went home with it,
Made my memories theirs instead.

And the paper handed to you was a plainer affair that said:
“Son, you’re a winner but here’s your third class chair”,
That’s what it said.
The song’s a griper, sour in taste, thoughts and sight.
No worse feeling than you win,
But not quite.
