Hot Snakes....successful?

Now, I'm all the way in England. At my desk at work if you want specifics. ANYWAY, my favourite band in the world (besides Pink Floyd) are Hot Snakes. Now, the buggers have gone and upset me by splitting up a while back. However every American that I mention Hot Snakes to doesn't seem to know who the hell they are. Now without any of you looking them up, do you know who they are? If not, why not? They're the best thing ever! Well, besides Columbo...

The only Hot Snakes I have ever seen are the ones in Texas or in the Amazon. Currently never heard of a band called Hot Snakes. So, now I will look them up just out of curiosity...

They're incredible. If you're looking for a top album, look for Audit In Progress. Pretty punky. But very indie. Hmmm....I dunno how to describe them, they're just great. I was in a funkyish rock band for a while and we were doing very well at the time I left. I left purely because I heard a Hot Snakes track and realised "Wow, this is what I NEED to be playing. Music with real heart, real energy, real rock'n'roll lifestyle in the blazing guitars."

I think they're great! As you may be able to tell.

Never heard of Hot Snakes. I have heard of "Baby Snakes" by F. Zappa.. does that count?

And who is this "Columbo"...?

I demand that everyone checks out Hot Snakes. Plus they had a great website. Very cool.

Also, you mentioned Columbo and I got excited and bought the DVD boxset. Shame on me and my impulse purchases....

Sacha,

I will endeavor to learn what I can of the "Hot Snakes". Meanwhile, continue your impulse purchases.. "Lamborghini for SteveB".

I'll buy you it when I clear my credit card bill...which took a bit of a battering earlier this month when I went mental and bought myself my third Jazzmaster.

Egad! What were you thinking?

That money would have been better spent on a StingRay, Sterling, or Bongo!

Sacha, I too, unfortunately have never heard of Hot Snakes.

Baby Snakes, I am familiar with. Hot Rats, as well. But not the combination of the two.

All of you, it's Saturday, you have no excuses. Go and buy Audit In Progress by Hot Snakes. It's so upsetting! I was hoping that they might be vaguely well known in the US....I'm going to cry.....weep......etc.

Hot Snakes are an offshoot of Rocket from the Crypt, are they not?
