you guys are being way too harsh. it just seems to me that those singers have chosen to sing in the key of "off" and sometimes the key of "way-off".

Wikipedia says: "Upon her father's death in 1909, Jenkins inherited a sum of money which allowed her to take up the singing career that had been discouraged by her parents and former husband. (...) At the age of 76, Jenkins finally yielded to public demand and performed at Carnegie Hall on October 25, 1944. So anticipated was the performance that tickets for the event sold out weeks in advance."

There are a bazillion amateur singers that suck.
My short list of "professional" singers that have made a bundle of $$$ singing, that make my eyelids twitch every time I hear them is;
Bob Dylan
Tom Petty
Darius Rucker (Hootie & the Blowfish)

I like their songs but I wish someone else would have sang them. lol

Joe Sandalo! (I think it's Joe, anyway) Gave me some good laughs back a few years. His Dream Theater covers are hilarious. Quite the guitar player though!

I hate to say it because I still consider the older Chillis stuff to be one of my main influences, but I'm going to have to say Anthony Keidis...

He has a "Unique" vocal that sounds ok when he's doing that funk metal rap type thing, but when he actually tries to sing properly...
