My list is quite big, I'll write the ones I like right now.

Dream Theater, The Human Abstract, Protest The Hero, Between The Buried and Me, Enanitos Verdes, Mana, and a couple of others

John Petrucci and Marty Friedman are my favorite musicians

I'm a fairly mainstream kind of guy,....EVH, Slash, Jerry Cantrell, Adam Jones, SRV, Hendrix, Hetfield / Hammett, Dan Donnegan, Mark Tremonti, Seether, AX7, Boston, all kinds of 70's, and I am really digging the good-ol bands from the 80's lately, ... Poison, Skid Row, Dokken, Motley Crue, Extreme,....the 80's had so much talent in the guitar arena,......

you really should limit it to top 5 bands right now

most of us could prolly go on for hours about who, what.. then remember some more related to just that one band.. hehe

my top 5 listening list as of right now:

ac/dc.. the new album runs continually
the temptations.. 1976 album wings of love, more specifically the song up the creek without a paddle. that is one awesome groove!!!
eric lindell.. low on cash, rich in love.. he has that delbert mc clinton quality in his voice and the album is lovely skewed.. by that i mean its a bit rough.. guitars not 100% in tune and his voice is also not 100% in tune at some points. i do however believe they did it on purpose to give it that sound
tribal tech.. face first.. not much more to say about that than gary willis is one awesome groovy player with a chunky tone and impeccable intonation (can you hear he is playing on a fretless?).. scott henderson.. bluesfusion at its best!
also would you believe that i have alvin and the chipmunks on my playlist??
my kids are hooked on alvin and the soundtrack from the latest movie also get a fair share of playing. not because its that good, but because

trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your guitar...

Favorite band for me is Candlebox. Great music and great guys. I have been friends with them for 10 years and for all 10 of them there lead singer Kevin Martin still won't give me his Pre-EB Vintage Sunburst Stingray (claims it sounds too good when recording in the studio!). JOSH
