Can someone recommend good live music bars/venues in Manhattan

Hey everyone

I will be in Manhattan the night of July 1, 2 and 3. Me and my friend would like to listen to good live music at night (jazz, rock, blues)

So far I think I'll go to the Blue Note Club one of those nights, but I need more

please help if you can recommend some nice places.

Mind you it's a female friend so it should be a nice enough venue for a chick to like
