Really disappointed today. The finger flared up with infection last night and became very painful. Turns out the bone had become infected through the wire pin. I am now back in hospital on strong antibiotics in preparation for surgery tomorrow. They are now going to shorten the finger possibly below the knuckle depending on what they find. Hopefully they will be able to leave enough that it will be level with the other two fingers so that's the best I can hope for it seems. Feeling a bit gutted but trying to stay postive. Sorry if my typing is bad I'm sending from my iphone struggling with the buttons. All the best. Kev
