Earthwood #6

Will try to post an album soon. Mine came with no pick guard either that I just love. I wonder how the 6" thick compares to the 8" side by side. It seem so simple with so many great builders out there. Thanks for reading my ramblings, still excited.

I will definetly keep my eyes open for your website. So many dream basses out there. I have stumbled across a few myself including a 1966 P bass from the original owner that played in the dude ranches here in the north east many years ago. He told me the bass made him over 100g. Also have a Taylor AB2 I am probably going to sell now I have the Earthwood. I have a lot to learn with the fretless but from what I can find there were ony about a dozen made... I believe the original owner purchased a fretted model and sent it back for the frettless. Wish he kept that one too! The one I got sat thru and estate sale for a music store that closed in 1994 and no one bought it! I read where most of them had a piezo pickup built in with the jack doubling as the strap button. I am taking it to a luither to repair a small crack from the bridge to the body before I play it anymore. If I had 15 I would buy it.

There is a reason for the "cult following"- these things have a sound All Their Own! I'm planning on launching a website called "dreambasses.com" with this as the flagship. I plan to put a price of $15,000 on it, and see what happens. I own, or Have owned a lot of basses that people would die for, and want to show what I've had, and what I have for sale. Things like an Ampeg scroll head bass, and a Baby Bass. I still have a Tom Lieber acoustic, and a Dave Maize acoustic. A Bassline Worp. A Carvin AC50. I just sold a Warwick Alien. Pickup? My pickup is awesome! I actually have had to attenuate the bass when playing through an amp. I don't know if one was built into the bridge, but I'll get a mirror and check it out. As I recall, there was a product called a "hot dot", but I don't know if that's what you are referring to. Good luck with yours! Feel free to fire away with any more questions. Hi Earthwood #6, I have been amazed by these and intrigued by the seemingly cult following. Only saw two go on ebay in many years and wrote off ever owning one. Then one found me on craigslist 40 minutes away. Original owner that owned a music store and purchased it new. I cant believe the discount they recieve...
Anyway you say you would concider selling to a good home? Might I be so bold to ask what that home would have to offer? I would love to own a fretted 8".
Also I see yours has an aftermarked pickup. Did it come with one built into the bridge originally? Mine has one but it does not have much volume.
