What colour pickguard is this

I wanted a Vintage white perloid but this one looks a bit too white to be vintage.
Can you please confirm or refute my suspicions.
TIA

I'd say that's not vintage...

Cool Thanks for the pics Beth

I definitely think I have a white perloid instead of vintage.
Bit disappointed by that as I ordered the vintage pg at the same time as the bass.
Something must have gotten lost in translation.
I'll have to order up another one as I think the vintage one will go much better with my ST Bongo.

So, did Las Vegas Gold ever get fixed?

Will THAT ever come back...I've seen alot of basses in that finish these days and wondering if there's a new batch.

Thanks

Question Don't want to start a new thread

Gents,

My WHITE SR4 has a small but deep ding at lower back side- 1/4" but all the way to the wood - nothing I can't survive. However, is there any way to repair it? Does MM sells some kind of repair kit or stick? Nail polish? Car lacquer? Any tips or tricks? Thanks in advance with strong belief in Forum's eternal wisdom.

AFAIK, they don't sell a repair kit. I would think that nail polish or automotive touch-up paint would be your best bet for white.

ladyc, welcome to the Forum - but I doubt that your bass is a 2004 as that color was disco'd in 2001-early 2002 maybe. What is the serial number?

Newbie Question:

If I bought a used red Stingray 4-string bass today (circa 1992 model it appears) and it's just plain red, why isn't such a seemingly ubiquitous guitar color mentioned in the solid color area?

It's like black....only RED. Certainly not exciting, but a good solid kinda color, me thinks.

I needed a house bass for the jam room and this Craig's List offering came up in the $350 range, so I grabbed it. I stopped by this forum to figure out the 3-band deal and I saw this "What Color Is This?" thread....

...only plain old red get's the Rodney Dangerfield treatment it appears.

I see some talk of "Fire Engine Red", but what's all that about? How isn't FER not just a red Stingray? Is it something other than just plain solid red? How unusual can a red bass guitar be?

Is all this FER chatter an inside joke at the expense of owners of the humble red Stingray sans metalflake translucent burst upgrades?
