Hello Gav,
Here is my Sterling to be added to your databass. Many thanks to Brian at EBMM for providing me with the info:

2001 EBMM Sterling Fretless
Unlined pao ferro fretboard
Piezo bridge
Vintage Sunburst finish with original flat white p/g.
Completed in March of 2001

I purchased this bass new old-stock last year and am the original owner. It was registered with EB last fall.

Thanks a lot, Gav,
Andrew Messer

Here is a scan. Let me know if you need anything further.

Thanks a lot, Gav.
It is a fantastic bass, and very addicting to play. It is my only fretless, and wow, does it have the tone. The lows are the deepest of any bass I have ever heard; it really rattles the timbers!
Currently strung with TI jazz flats, which are the perfect compliment to the bass.

Hi, just found this site and your S/N website. Here's my info for you to add to your database.

Bass: Music Man Stingray
Finish: Black
Pickguard: Black w/white trim
Fingerboard & Neck: Maple, Fretted with "r" registered mark after the "N" in MAN, 3 Bolt Neck Plate ('79 version), no S/N
Bridge: String thru body, Offset holes, Music Man on Bridge, S/N on Bridge.
EQ: 2EQ
Serial : B012831

From looking at your website, I think I've confirmed what I always thought and that is that this is a '79 Stingray. I bought it new in May of 1980 from Brian Guitars in New Haven, CT, USA. I have not taken the neck off to research any other dates. I am the only owner of this bass and it is totally original. Nothing but the strings and battery have ever been replaced. I also have the original Black Music Man Hardshell Case w/ tan interior and Black Leather Strap with Music Man Gold embossed imprint on it. lol

The bass has seen a lot of use over the last 25 years, but it doesn't have a single scratch or mark in the finish that bares wood. There is some corrosion on the Left (Upper) bridge pin where the chrome plate has worn off. I'll have to take a couple of pictures someday. Heh heh...

Thanks.
