Much appreciated - this is the most beautiful
bass ever.
Hey Moondog, how's it going? Yes, Tobacco Burst is one of my favorite finishes, too. A lot of the bodies under the finish are stunning, bet yours is one like that. This beauty was completed on 4/20/05 and was shipped to the Musician's Workshop in Manalapan, New Jersey.

Nice!

Dan

Many thanks.

Hey, SBM, welcome. late or not! Your beloved Black/Rosewood bass has a production date of 11/08/02 and was originally shipped to Guitars & More in Indianapolis, Indiana. Somehow it made its way "across the pond" and to you. Cool!

Dan

Build date: 6/25/02 originally shipped to the very cool guys at the Guitar Emporium, Louisville, Kentucky.

Arf!

Dan

Thanks Dan but are you sure about the Maple neck? Mine has a rosewood one with matching headstock and I cant Imagine someone being able to do a neck swap in such a rare color. Thanks!

hank, It's still early in Cali and I am only on my second cup of coffee, my bad! How about this - it is a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard! Yeah! That's what I meant to say! Yes - it is rosewood. Sorry!

Hey there

I got a couple more MMs for you to add to your list:
StingRay 5 #56226
Natural with black pg and maple fb
1995 (?)

and Bongo 4HH #F08856
Rolls Burgundy with White Ice pg and rosewood fb
This one is either 2003 or 2004 - not sure which.

I bought the StingRay secondhand in New Zealand in late 95, and the Bongo new in Hong Kong earlier this year. Both are incredible instruments, and now live with me in Australia. Any further information about dates, original shipping etc would be greatly appreciated.

balzac,

StingRay 5 serial # 56226 was completed on 6/2/95 and was in fact shipped to our distributor in New Zealand.
Bongo 4 HH serial # F08856 was completed on 1/28/04 and was shipped to our distributor in Hong Kong.

So neither went too far from their original destination until you acquired them.

Nice pieces!

Dan
