Any truth?

My Luthier has been told that Schaller make the pick-ups for MM basses. I find this difficult to believe. I understood that they were wound in-house.

Anyone care to put the record straight? BP?

God the world is just a big ol bag of misinformation.......We have made all of our bass pickups since day one. Please correct your "luthier" The first silhouette guitars used schaller pickups and only for a few months......that was over twenty years ago. How old is your luthier?

Why dont you make a wager with him for a wimpy or guiness and I will send a photo of the pick up dept

Thanks BP. That is exactly what I expected to hear. I just wanted to be certain. Apparently he was visiting a Uk distribution warehouse and he was shown an MM style pick-up with their name on it. ????

I will send him a link to this thread so he can read it for himself.

BTW he's not quite as old as you or me.
