This is an odd one: Supposed to be late '80s with a six bolt neck and a string-through-body brige sporting a B02x serial number. Either this is a very rare piece or it's a FrankenRay...

Well -i agree the bridge -dont belong -and i would be really carefull of that pre EB "82 bass- it has been said that there was a truss rod ( neck issues ) toward the end -dont blame Leo -it was a tuff transition period-and a lot of finacial interest was a stake-share holders -ect.. push and pull---------I would love BP to jump in and tell it like it was

I'd pay maybe, $800 for a butchered Ray from a possibly bad year for CLF.
From what I recall, not all of the later pre EB rays had bad truss rods. It was just a few necks. Not sure what the tell tale signs are besides playing one.
