I know its probably not appropriate to ask here, but is that black coil the phantom coil, and do all stingray 5 humbucker pups have those?

Yes that is the phantom or dummy coil and no, not all StingRays have them. For more info on those, check out Rod Trussbroken excellent histroric website here: Home - Musicmanbass.org, Music Man, Musicman, Music Man Bass, Musicman Bass, Music Man Guitar and in particular this section: PRE-AMPS AND PUPS - Musicmanbass.org, Music Man, Musicman, Music Man Bass, Musicman Bass, Music Man Guitar

Good luck

dammit!

Still waiting on an unpaid invoice. Otherwise that would be mine! CLASSIC!
Well I got my eye on another bass, a silver fiver. Something about the ones with the metal battery door I like better . I know it has no bearing on the tone. It's just...more metal? I guess I am just a weirdo that way.

Someone please buy this?

It was at $2500 last night, but back down to $1200 with 8 min to go!!!! The seller is solid as well looking at their feedback (not me BTW).

I pick up my 100th tomorrow and have no need for 2 of them.

This bass could go real low!

Sold for $1200?!?!

Wow. I guess the seller relisted it for only a few hours and got one last bid at the last second. Makes the $1400 I am paying for mine seem expensive.

Somebody did very well on this!

I think the seller was trying to cancel the ad entirely, and had just cancelled all the bids by mistake. I had many contacts with him, and he wasn't satisfied with the $2500, so he was going to take down the ad. I initially offered him $1700 within the first 3 hours of the ad. He decided to let it run it's course.

You got one for $1400? That's awesome! You are going to love the bass! I certainly love mine!

I was wondering about that namm bass as well, it had 7 bids and $2500 last night, then it was at 0 bids. Maybe he kicked off a foriegn bidder? Or a bidder with zero feedback?
I wonder if there will be a nasty bid retraction.

less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your guitar...
