FS: 2005 LE Stingray 5 HH Buttercream

One of the most sought after EB custom colors. They don't get in much better shape than this. Very, very few marks on the pickguard and body. I'd say none, but I'm sure you could find something. The only non-original equipment are the Dunlop straplock strap pins - I suppose you get new ones from EB to restore it to factory fresh.

Selling because my shoulder just can't handle the weight (10'ish) and I can't get comfortable with the tighter SR5 string spacing (still love my SR4).

Case in excellent shape as well w/ candy. Just strung up with a fresh set of DR hi-beams.

$1575 shipped to the lower 48, PayPal eCheck or Money Order please.

I have a 2004 Sterling for sale. Black with a maple board. Has a few minor scratches on the back and a light swirl mark where I rest my forearm(see last pic, left side). Other than that the bass is in great shape. Comes with Schaller straplocks, cloth, and musicman case. I would not be parting with this if I didnt get laid off last week....really stinks
$775 plus shipping OBO
P.S. Also I have been on this forum for a while under kmk42019 but I lost my password and the site wont e-mail me it so I created a new profile.

Pending a relocation overseas for work, I'm putting up for sale my two treasured preEB Musicman Cutlass basses.

The first is a Cutlass I with a FACTORY FITTED three bolt neck and through body bridge. The neck date is 1984 and the body stamp is 1979. This bass was sold through a store in Florida as part of a Cliff Williams clearance (I have a PDF of the original listing on the shops website).

I've tried contacting AC/DC directly to confirm the provenance but had no reply. Cliff's home address is still on the case so if the eventual buyer happens to be in Florida at any point maybe they could pop round for a beer and a game.

I'm reliably informed that there are maybe only 5 Cutlass I basses known with these preEB features. There were only an estimated 600 Cutlass I basses made before production ceased. This instrument is in reasonable condition although Cliff has put a few knocks, chips and scratches into the bass thanks to his chunky belt buckle! But hey, thats all part of the mojo, right?

The second bass is a Cutlass II and, like the Cutlass I, it has a 1984 neck date but also a 1984 body stamp with a more typical 4 bolt neck. It's finished in white and is also completely stock and original as far as I'm aware.

For a long time this was my main gigging 4 string as it can do a passable p-bass sounds as well as the classic stingray sound. The neck pickup by itself has a really nice, flabby, funky tone to it. The pick up selector switch offers a combination of sounds based not only on the pickups but also the coils within each pickup. Its in pretty good cosmetic condition considering its age, probably hasn't been gigged that much. There are maybe a handful of small dings in my estimation none of which are chips.

There were an estimated 300 Cutlass II basses manufacturered so this is a pretty special bass too.

This bass does not currently have a hard case, although if it ships internationally then I will buy one just for the sake of safer couriering. Normally I ship via FedEx for international freight, its a little pricier than some but they've been 100% reliable for me in the past and have been so quick that not even UK customs have noticed . I think the record for an express delivery to me from the US was 36 hours. If you want to use a different courier, you're free to do that but at your own risk.

Any interested parties are invited to make me an offer on either instrument by November 14th.

I've been told by a reputable bass shop here in London what they've managed to sell Cutlass basses for in the past so if any offers fail to beat that, I'll probably take my chances with the consignment route.

NB: Cutlass II is sold subject to payment.

2000 SR5 for Sale with Alnico Pickup, Free Shipping!

Hello All,

Due to finances I am forced to sell some treasures to appease the household finance committee. This includes my blue SR5 that I am asking $1000 including delivery. I declined to sell for obvious reasons, but now need to get this done so I'm offerring to the group before I post on that another place.

The bass in overall fantastic shape but does have some finish checq's the longest of which is by the belly contour on the back. There are a couple more near the bridge on the front. You have to look hard to see them, but they are there so I want the buyer to know. Some people say they are common and I bought the bass with these and they obviously don't affect the sound and as you can see from the photos are very hard to see.

The great things about this bass are the great looks, light weight (right about 9 pounds and balances well. The neck profile on this one is very comfortable. The Seymour duncan 3 coil Alnico pickup and proprietary preamp upgrades give this bass an incredible sound. The Alnico pickup opens up the top and the bottom and the pickup still has that classic growl only is open more at the top and bottom. Finally, the three pickup selector gives very distinct tones and the single coil sound is thick, clean, open and very punchy. The series and parallel selections also have excellent definition. This is a handwound pickup wound by Seymour himself and signed. The capacitor upgrades allow the pickup to really open up in range. The old pickup was rusted out and although EB offerred me a new one in exchange for this plus money, they would not sell me their alnico but I am extremely happy how this turned out. Included is a black and a white pickguard.

I just don't play 5 string that often and used my Stingray 4 more so this one has to <reluctantly> go. Neck is straight and true, the frets were leveled and dressed and a nice coat of finish oil was added to the rosewood board. Spent a lot on this bass and loved every minute I played it...You will too!!!

Black Pickguard for Bongo 4 HH- FREE!!!

Edit- PG no longer available, sent to an EB forum member

I ordered a Black Ice pickguard for my new Lava Pearl Bongo 4 HH (thanks RGFlyer!), and was sent a plain black guard instead. I later did receive the correct pickguard, so now I have a free black pickguard that I will never use (I have the Black Ice and the White Ice), so I might as well give it to someone that will use it. One caveat- if I send you this pickguard, I need to see a picture of your Bongo with it installed (just because I like seeing pictures of Bongos!). Please send me a PM if you're interested.

Dargie SR5 H *NEAR MINT CONDITION*

Well my new Bongo just arrived and the bank account is looking mighty bare, so....

Here it is...SR5 Dargie with matching headstock in near "MINT" condition. I bought this from a guy on TB in December, and it's basically sat in its case ever since. I took her out on a gig once and she felt great, but I have decided that the single H isn't my sound at all. If anyone is interested this won't last long I'm sure. It comes in the standard OHSC that it came in.

You all know how I take care of my basses, so this is a 9.5 out of 10.

$1599 + Shipping (NO PAYPAL)

Only USPS Money Orders or Check.

Thanks for looking,

John

This bass is quite a nice player, but I have figured out what I want and this doesn't make the cut.

$525 shipped, I want this gone. I will probably ebay it soon.

Still for sale now $500 shipped in a gig bag!

Limited Edition Buttercream Bongo 4HH and MINT SR4 HH

This a NEAR MINT 2005 Musicman LIMITED EDITION Buttercream Bongo 4HH Bass. I bought it new from Bass Central when Buttercream was released. It has spent most of it's time since then in it's case and has never left my house. I can't bring myself to take this beautiful bass to the S***holes I play in. Buttercream is the best sounding of all colors.

The only mark I find on it is a small indentation on the headstock. It won't show in pictures.

The bass has a basswood body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. Matching Headstock and limited edition detailing.

It is near mint condition and still has the plastic on the pickguard.

The bass ships in an immaculate condition Musicman Limited Edition hard case.

$1200, shipped in the contiguous US.

I may ship international, determined on a case by case basis. International buyer would have to pay actual shipping. (International buyers that would use their own shipping accounts and fill out the paperwork would be great)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This a MINT,LIKE NEW 2006 Musicman Stingray 4HH Bass. I bought it new from Bass Central when the dual pickup models were first released. It has spent most of it's time since then in it's case and has never left my house.

The bass has an ash body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. Trans red finish and NO Matching Headstock.

It is immaculate condition and still has the plastic on the pickguard.

The bass ships in an equally immaculate condition Musicman hardcase..

$1100, shipped in the contiguous US.

I would prefer to sell but would be interested in trades involving HH or HS Sterlings.
