Sorry if this has been discussed, but I just don't want to wade through almost 200 posts trying to find the answer........
WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR A BONGO 6?????  I don't need to see one, play one, touch one, smell one, etc. I just need to know an order date.

A member who really isnt welcome anymore posted (and deleted) among many other things in this thread that only praise and adulation were encouraged and accepted here.
THis person is someone who will threaten us doing this stuff in the future. I cannot explain enough that we are doing this to take you along the design ride from start to finish. Postive comments are great but we arent considering them just like we won't consider the negative ones at this time. How come I cant just try to give you guys more information without a chicken sh!t posts like the one I deleted? Can we accept this for what it is ? It is the first instrument designed out in the open for the world to see.......I think it is fun.

BP, I agree totally. I enjoy the sneek peeks into the build process. Please do not stop them. It is very interesting to see the workings inside SLO. Hopefully you will do another open house sometime that I will be able to attend.

E to E makes sense to me...also numb nuts also said that he already had a silo bass, thank you. This will not play feel or sound like a silo bass....That logic means that I should have only one variation of the guitar...

Let me try to answer the order question.
The Bongo 6, according to highly placed inside sources, will be shown at summer NAMM in Austin. Dealers will be able to order the Bongo 6 at that time, if history teaches us anything (and I'm not so sure it does, given that whole Nixon thing, but I digress). If dealers place orders, customers can place orders. Delivery times remain fluid. Be prepared to be flexible or, if not flexible, patient. This is what I have been told and I have no reason to doubt it, other than this same highly placed source also told me that green basses won't sell and real men play four string basses. Jack

All I can say is.. BP.. thanks for the inside info.. and the ability to watch this process from the begininng. It's been absolutely cool to watch, and I can't wait for the "next episode" as this show continues.
Hopefully the childish imbocilic idiots will refrain from ruining this, and just sit back with a bucket of popcorn and enjoy the show!!
