I've been staring at this for a long time... I just can't take my eyes off it. Please make one in this color, oh powers that be. It has a classical beauty to it, like rennaisance art, classically-figured women, fine wine...

I am in love.

make sure it's balanced. Looks like it could be neck heavy.

I'm sure the extra body mass helps balance that baby out.

Maybe a good topic for another thread.
Where do you think should the center of gravity be?

Ummmm....

Exactly where it needs to be to balance the bass properly?

I do bleeb BP has said they'll be trying different materials for the Bongo 6 to work on the weight issue.

Actually, they've designed a new strap button for the end pin. It features an little indent and extra long screw so they can add weights as necessary to balance the neck. If you look closely at the rendering you can see the little slot where the weights fit in. A combination of plastic washer and the weights will let then set the balance exactly.

It's really a rather clever idea.

Bongo freeweights--great innovation--work out while you're workin' it out. Sounds like we're getting closer to my "nuts & gum" bass design concept.

I like pickguards on Musicmans, but I really like and prefer the way those two look without pickguards. The trans white on ash is a knockout.

White MM's always look classy, and that Bongo 6 is no different. Very smart.

I think that's raw unfinished wood, not a trans finish. Remember...this is a first prototype.
