I like it, but I'm not convinced on the yellow pole pieces on the pickups

BP, Simply fantastic. I can't wait to watch this develop, and eventually own one.

+1.....

<checks ticket stub>

Let's see, where's my seat....Peanut Gallery, Section 12, row DD, seat 4.....

What I really love about the access BP grants us is that it gives us a real sense of history and insight into these instruments. I've always been fascinated by good design, especially the thought process behind the choices that are made. Just WHY things are the way they are is of endless interest to me.

I will buy one but only if it's available in Blue Dawn Stealth with green sparkles, a graphite neck, triple humbuckers and a diamond encrusted scratchplate. Oh I hope someone is listening...

Hell yeh. Thats going to smoke. I certainly hope the string spacing isn't smaller than that on an SR5.

This is how we drive BP crazy becuase my first thought was, gee, I hope it's a nice thin neck.

I'm very much looking foward to playing a Bongo 6 but, and I know this is going to some of you, I still have a hard time getting over how, let's say...not pleasing to the eye it is. I'm ugly enough and I don't need people to say, wow, that bass is as ugly as he is!

I've gotten more compliments on the appearance of my Bongos from audience members/club employees in 3 years than all of the Fenders, boutiques, etc that I played live with for 13 years of gigs before that combined.

Don't assume that simply because you don't like it that others are simply ignoring the looks. Some of us--most of us, I'd say--actually like the way the Bongo looks.

I just hope the neck feels like a Bongo neck with 6 strings on it. I love the way the 4 plays, and I love the way the 5 plays. I'm not going to worry about it, really. I obviously dig the Bongo designs so far--why would an extra string make a difference?

Okay, maybe ugly is a harsh word. It's just that I'm not into very modern looking things. I like the warm old-fashion feel. (House is decorated Victorian, etc.) I know eventually I'll get into the 21st century, but it'll be kicking and screaming!

Just wanted to let you know these pics have migrated to the Harmony Central Bass Forum and discussion is ensuing there as well. (Didn't know if image bandwidth leeching was an issue with EBMM or not.)

I've enjoyed the refreshing look of the Bongo since I first found out about them. I lucked out that someone wanted to trade me my Acme bass for their Bongo. It has been my #1 since then. While I don't think I'll be playing a sixer anytime soon (trying to wrap my brain/hands around a fiver now) it's good to know if I ever decide to move into 6 string territory, EBMM has me covered, and with a Bongo to boot!
