It took me a little while to get used to the Bongo shape with the 4 and 5 string versions, but for some reason, it just looks natural with that six string. I guess six string basses usually look non-traditional anyway, but I think that's one of the best looking and most appealing six string basses I've ever seen.

the Bongo shape has finally found the number of strings it was meant to have!!!

that is the most confusing/not-6-looking looking 6!! It's wicked!!!

I mean Bongos look great already as 4s and 5s but now with this 6, it looks like it was just meant to be. and the "Silver Bear" finish.... hot dang if that ain't the colour!!

BP, just out of interest how did you have the B6 tuned? There was some earlier discussion about preferences.

Looks great by the way Any chance of some mp3's after the photo's? Or better yet another video to add to the collection?

Ok, so the thought of buying a 5-string Bongo has always lurked in the back of my head. Now with the 6-string version ready, I might as well get on of those instead. Don't know if I'd want a H/H or a H/SC steup.

Could anyone with the experience describe the differences, pros/cons?

Okay, does this mean Ernie Ball will start making 6 string sets of flatwounds to go with it? Or, at least a high C that can be ordered separately?

Because I will own a 6 string Bongo. And, it will wear flats. It'd be nice if I had some EB flats to put on it.

If you need anyone to help prototype flatwound high C strings, I'm game. I'll happily set up a Bongo E-C for testing purposes.

BP, I noticed that the Bongo 6er you're holding seems to be that same flat silver color as the 5 string John Myung is using. Is that one of the 6 strings that will be sent to John Myung? Excellent job by the way, looks great. You look like a natural playing a 6 string. What I really want to know is will that flat silver color be offered on the Bongo's now? Thanks.

Very cool. I can certainly understand a delay, but it's good to know they are in the cards.

and on the 'silver' note with black p/g, thank gawwwd it isn't a silverburst and it's just plain silver, I mean who'd ever think of a silverburst MM, I mean the silver (that hasn't surfaced in a while) is great but the thought of silverburst is just hideous
