Never say never around here, although I remember BP saying maple boards on Bongos were just fugly.

I remember BP saying something like that. I was a little disappointed way back when I got my first Bongo(Damn, that was 4 years ago!) that I couldn't get a maple board. Since then I've really grown to love the look/sound of rosewood. I'd still be interested to see a maple board Bongo. Apparently what's good for the Ray is not always good for the Bongo.

I'm trying to picture a black Bongo with a maple board and blk PG. It seems like it would look cool esp. in the 4H monster version.
