That's very rare. Translucent white was only available for a couple of years, and the "Flea" bridge with strung mutes was only available in '93, also that was the last year Translucent white was available. AFAIK. It's hard enough to find any Mary Kaye, but what you're looking for may not even exist...

You may want to check out the info on www.musicmanbass.org in order to find out more.

hi,

thanks for your reply.
i do not insist on the sponge rubber dampers, but i do insist on the old, big bridge.
for my opinion, a sting ray looks much better with that one.
itīs a question of flavor
3 ago ago, i saw such a SR on german ebay but unfortunately i missed to place my bid...

regards,

robert

cheap bass in london area

I'm in the U.K., specifically the london area. You guys know how hard it is to get a stingray over here!

They're not cheap either, and I'm a very poor student. After trying a stingray 4 s.u.b. on Denmark Street, I was hooked to that classic sound, and it was so playable. So, I'm looking for a very cheap s.u.b. stingray 4, preferably black; or alternatively a really, really, really cheap bashed up stingray. I know this is near impossible but I have an extremely low budget, and the bass has to be fairly local.

thanks guy

Looking for a rode-hard-and-put-away-wet player's Stingray or Sterling 4H. Can't afford a newish pretty bass or a mint example. Prefer maple board. Must be lightweight (as in 9.25lbs or less; less is better). Fully functional, straight neck, blemishes/dings/bumps/chips not an issue.

Let me know whatcha got, whatcha want for it. Pics would be great. Easiest to get me at dkwilkins at gmail dot com
Thanks-
