G.a.s.

It started out by reading a review of the new Bongo in Bass Player last month. I thought I had all of my gear buying days behind me. But something kept nagging at me. I admit it... I'm weak and I caved in and ordered a new Bongo 5HHP. But it didn't stop there, my amp, had to upgraded, thus a new Triad, then I saw the Lime Green Bongo on EBAY - I've always wanted a bright green bass back from my '80's hair metal days... and there it was.

What's next... I need help - or atleast another Bongo (too bad they don't make Bongo 6 strings). What can I say, other then:
"Hi, I'm Ritch... and I'm a bassaholic. "

On a side note the 3 band Bongos sound pretty killer (running it through an SWR Silverado Special 2x12/T with a SWR Triad 1x15, 1x10,T and a BassPod XT) - I knew it was there were plenty of sounds in there from my hour or so messing with it at GC. But I didn't realize that it has plethera of sounds that I hadn't even hit on yet - It is a sad but my Warwick Streamer ProM (which I love and have used faithfully) has just been moved down to second string.

Congrats on the bongo. I just got an SR5 but I am hearing amazing things about the bongo. I might just have to try one out soon. Do you have a site or can you post up some pics? I love seeing pics of other peoples basses and amps and such.

I'm sorry, Ritch.

But I have three Bongos, a Stingray 5 and a Stingray 4.

And other brands of basses. So brace yourself. It only gets worse.

The wife said that if I buy anything else ... something is getting cut off . I should have thought about that before I started looking at Mesa 400s.

Oh Yeah - Mesa 400+ and your Bongos? Killer combo. I love mine.

My Bongo 5 replaced my Ken Smith BT5G as my main bass!

Know what would be cooler than an Ampeg 36x10? An Ampeg 10x36!

I have a question guys... I haven't got my Bongo in yet sot hat's why I'm stupid here. Does a single H Bongo 5 sound any different than a SR5? What would make it sound different if so?
Thanks for the info. Doug
