If you fancy drinking something with a cool link try Maker's Mark. The Samuels family who own the distillery (Bill Samuels Jnr is still working for them as is his son Rob) has links with the James brothers (as in Frank and Jesse). From what I remember the family provided safe havens for the boys in Nelson County, Kentucky.
Just another of those fun history things for introducing some whiskies to people.
