Thumbs up gk neo 212 combo and a sr4 fretless is one AWESOME combo!

i hooked my 30th fretless up to the neo212 combo and boy did i get blasted away!!

i was impressed with the markbass f1, but somehow this combination of neo speakers, 1001 amp and the fretless bass burned down the italian house

imho the neo speakers gives a clarity but yet keep a certain warmth to em that i find appealing. also the horn of the 212 combo isnt as harsh as others ive heard. it just sizzles a lil tiny bit and doesnt sound like a waterfall when you turn things up. i also love the boost function on the amp! up with it and hear that lil purry attack come alive

then i hooked up my 30th sr4 fretless and BOY did fireworks fly!!!!!!!!!!!!
every note starts with a show approved by disneyland! its a bfooom and then comes the note sneaking out taking over the show!
i dont know how to express it in words, but the attack of the note just slaps ya in the face. its like they blew a tiny amount of plastic explosives off at the start of every note you hit! the dynamics of it all is a lil bit compressed so you dont have any issues with too loud attack and no tone afterwards.. play with how hard you attack the string and you can have anything from sweet sweet fretless tones to grinding mad fun!

i absolutely LOVE it and that amp is coming home with me!!!

if you ever get the chance do hook up a fretless sr4 to it and hear for yourself

MrM

GK and MusicMan make a great, great combination. I think I may go back to GK once the Fusion 550 comes out.

Everyone loves good tone.

Stanky, I love my GK (it is the rig I have kept the longest) and I plan on abusing it for years to come but your SVT set is pretty sweet (I would love to have more GK company, but come on, your rig is pretty slamming - despite the weight)

Don't count me out of the GK ring yet.

gks are sweet rigs. the neo 212 with gk1001 head is about the clearest amp ive heard. great to make you a better player and light on the back. great for bars and outdoors. I wouldnt push her to much in larger gigs though... without addign another neo212 even though they rate her at 600watts
