I'm Going To Be Making A 5 String Stingray But...
I have a few questions...
I need to make an outline of the body to draw in the wood, but I do not own a stringray 5, but my friend owns a stringray 4. Are the 4 and 5 the same body shape, or is the 5 slightly larger? Could I outline the s.r.4 or would the pickguard be to big for the body?

The stingray 5 doesn't have the same body... seems to me that they are two distinct instruments.

according to the EBMM website, the SR body measurements are:
13-1/2" wide, 1-5/8" thick and the SR5 body measurements are: 13-3/8" wide, 1-3/4" thick so it would seem there is a difference. Since I don't have one of each, can't say for sure.

Go to a GC or local music store and see if you can trace one. Tell them its for a school project and they'll probably let you do it.
