Metalcore is a new one for me. How does that differ from other metal genres? Are there still Cookie Monster vocals and empty venues involved?

It's bassiclly just metal with more of a punk style backbeat, and yes there R empty venues and cookie monster vocals.

I use to play in a thrash metal band.... many many moons back in time... nowadays, I just dig the "metal moments" in our ska/rock/jazz band a tad more than the other band members

You guys are really good! Too bad there aren't many bands like that in Illinois.

I've never even heard of metal core. But I like Jodizzle.

So it sounds like there's a new language associated with metal core. This is where I'm feeling my age. I haven't even learned to text yet.
