The brown note is in there, especially with flatwounds.

That is one of the few finishes that makes me think about getting yet another Stingray 5. I mean, I don't NEED another one, but hot dang, that's a purdy finish.

Yea, My new SR5 is Egyptian smoke too. I didn't think I would like it Until I saw it in person at GC. Looks great under lights, I recently got a white pearliod pickguard for it. but I still like the Python that came with it. I might order a fretted bongo in that color, or maybe a SR5 HH...not sure

What's the colour of philthygeezer's sterling back on page two, post 24?

That's such a nice colour. I orderd a burnt apple sterling, hoping to get that finnish but when it came mine had sparkels in it!

It's still lovely but i really like the natural wood under the red sunburst. Is that the Cherry Burst?

Agree Beth. It should be an industry standard.

Natural is my favourite but BCB is my next

That Egyptian smoke SR 5 is one good looking bass. I would like to pair something just like it with the Graphite Pearl SR 5 I have.

That would just be two killer basses

Funny thing is mine was thought to be an Egyptian smoke. Turned out it wasn't.

Any way willhaven you have one to be proud of there. Enjoy

Funny... when shopping for SR5s, I looked at basscentral at a graphite one. They said it had been sold. When I saw the bass at the guitar center here locally, I thought it was graphite... but it ended up being egyptian smoke.

That is cool. Soon as I get a chance I post them side by side so all can see the glory.

I do tune mine normal though

Cheers
