2nd Musicman in as little as a week. (Black Sparkle piezo) anyone?)

Hey guys.

Someone stop me

After buying this last week.

On it's way Lovely Purple Sterling. Discontinued Colour?

I have gone for another MM. This time a stingray, black sparkle, matching headstock, Peizo pup.

Just trying to get hold of the serial number to date the birthday. Will be picking it up on Monday. I wont be recieving the purple Sterling for at least another week.

Also, How good is the Piezo system? I have heard it is a pointless upgrade for a stringray, Does it give a good Double bass style tone or is it more of a clean tone thing?

Rob

That is one beautiful StingRay...and piezo equipped too! Black Sparkle is my favorite finish, and your bass is exactly what I was looking for...but I love my black sparkle Sterling an awful lot.
Enjoy that bass you lucky man!

Very nice...much better than what I gathered the first time I read the title of this thread:

"2nd Musicman is a little weak"

That looks pretty cool, love the colour
Also can you just turn the piezo off? I'd have thought so, and if that's the case then you can just keep it off if you don't like it, and if you do it may be a useful thing to have for probably no more than a non piezo equipped model.

I believe the extra knob is a pan between the magnetic pickup and the piezos...so yes, you can dial the piezos out.

Wow! Where do you keep finding these sweet scores? I would have jumped at both of the last two basses that you have gotten. Definitely great pics!

There was an Onyx on TB recently. I posted the link here in the eBay/Craigslist treasures thread.
