Stingray5 low output!?
Hi everyone,
Just joined, I bought a 2002 stingray5 last week on craigslist,,great bass, the only thing i noticed, it has a lower volume output than my other basses (even the passive ones), is that normal ?? is anything wrong with the preamp ? is there an output trim inside?? Thankssss....

That would be my idea indeed.
Does it sound a bit distorded when you crank the amp? If changing the battery doesn't fix it call CS.

None of my Stingray 5's (and I have 5 now) has as high an output level as my stock 1966 P-Bass. But ALL of them have far more useful and versatile tones! Just turn up the gain on your amp :-)
