Awesome list, thanks. I can tell you guys that the black 5'er in Pasadena is sweet. The strings are now dead but don't let that fool you. The neck is a nice one.

Hey Guys,

just an FYI,

starting next week GC is going to launch a massive call campaign out to all the Bass Players and Studios on their mailing list to make sure everyone knows and has a shot at the clearance basses.
If you are on the fence with anything this week would be a great time to get in and get out with the one you've been thinking about.

Don't forget, GC is offering special financing for 12 months during November to help.

Good hunting...

Glen

STINGRAY 3EQ HH RW MOONSTONE PG SAPH BLK in San Antonio, TX

I've played this bass many times over the last 2 years (including another spin yesterday) and it's a winner. nice weight... low 9lbs. warm, punchy low-mids. good looking medium colored rosewood board. i bought another HH last year back in a more interesting color, but it was a mistake. it didn't have the same vibe and that bass is now gone. now that this one is on clearance I'm very close to jumping on it. this is your chance to save me from myself.

Not to take anything away from Zombi - but if you are looking for a 20th SR5 - Pete DuBaldo still has one listed on his sight. I've seen it in person. It's blue and it is gorgeous

THAT 20th SR5 is well.... yeah.... It is a BFR 20th and is way up on my wish-bass list, and I've only seen the pictures. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

Yeah? Blue you say...I did not know such an animal existed! I thought they were all Red or Venetian Red or whatever the red is...

Peace,

That's the Music Man 25th editions which come only in the venetian red and in multiple configurations.

The 20th Anniversary SR5 was a BFR run issued unto itself on the 20th anni of the SR5 design.

There are only ten of them. AFAIK one is in the vault, one got sent to Europe someplace, and Pete has another. I don't remember where the rest wound up.

They could be the most expensive EBMMs ever made, if you don't count the priceless one-offs.

I was talking about the 20th SR5...I actually had a 25th Anniversary 5HH which is NOT an SR5 but an Axis body. I have never seen a 20th Anniversary SR5 except in the Red...The Blue color of this one I took to be somewhat unique.

Peace,

T

There were many different versions that they made, some are one offs with special tops and woods. But the blue one your referring to is the holy grail of 20ths, as AD said only 10 were made, 2 for the vault, 4 each to the US market and international markets. That said if zombi cant find one try bass central.
