that pick up wasnt a 5er it was one leo made for me he called old smoothie where the strings went in between the pole pieces

There were F@nder 5 strings available in the 60s and 70s but they had a high C instead of a low B and they were a short scale bass.

and cool photo a detect a sean connery look as well

The Fender Bass V was 34" scale, the neck was just really short (15 frets!).

i love the single sticker thing. i have one sticker on my fernandes bass, its tuxedo mask. nothing in the world is as intimidating as that one sticker. hes so bad ass that no sticker dare ever enter the other parts of the bass.


and im glad that maple leaf is still on there lol

Mr. Ball, it is so amazing to see a picture of you and that bass from all those years ago - there are very few owners whose lives are so deeply intertwined with the product they sell. Very inspiring!
