Bought a new CD yesterday "Songs about Jane" by Maroon 5.

Not sure how long these guys have been around, but they have started to have a few hits in the UK.

I noticed on the back cover photo that Mickey Madden the Bass player is playing a MM 5 string.

Anyone got any comments on Mickey or Maroon 5 in general.

To me, they sound awfully like Jamiroquai, which in turn sounds awfully like Stevie Wonder.

dude midopa, you got to many p.m.'s. clear some stuff out. anyway the pedal is going in the mail today. im pretty sure its small enough to go through the regualr post office.

i think the singer is from that ska band Reel Big Fish ... or some other band the reminds me of RBF

i dont mind Maroon 5's music. I doubt ill buy their CDs but if theyre on the radio ill listen

Yeah, the album has been out for awhile here. His tone on the album is good, he pretty much just stays with the main riffs and holds down the bottom. That suits this type of music perfectly, solid and tight.
