I dig the new layout, but I'm pretty low maintenance. I've always dug the mag in gen'l, and appreciate their attempts to "remake" it.

And they've got a great variety of artists in it, which don't hoit!

Well, I play country 4 nights a week. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I do respect it greatly. I love jazz/fusion stuff. Bromberg, Wooten, Pattatuci, N. East. I love funk too. Rocco P., that sort of thing. It just seems like when I but a BP mag, its full rock guys. I like the music, but thats not my area of interest in playing b/c it doesn't apply to my everyday playing.

It's £3.50 an issue here. That's £42 a year, roughly $84.

Now it's time for that " "

Thanks cg.

Come to think of it I am getting this year for free.So it seems.I sent in my bill me later coupon and, my mag had not shown up at the mail box yet.Been a few months at the time.So I called and the girl looked into it while I was on the phone. She said that they recieved the coupon and that it was going to start in march. She also said that she would send feb's issue.I said cool want me to pay now?She said shows here you are already paid. Paid I said?Nope I haven't paid yet.Yup shows you are paid up.I said I know I did not pay,She says well it says you are and thats good enough for me,and I will send you out febuary's issue as well.

I will use that link to see if I can pay a year or so in advance .

I had for gotten that that happened ,just hit me when I saw the last post.

Thanks again

I kinda like the new layout. I think they've packed a bit more into their pages, and what I've read so far seems a little more in depth than in the past. The review of the line 6 bass seemed void of many of the cliche's their reviews have become known for.

don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth but i must admit that i was somewhat disappointed with the profile they did of me (some of us are never satisfied ). i did the best I could to have them make that section so it reflected some bassist merit, but i seem to have failed. i never liked working stiffs because i thought it made the players look kinda lame and like wanna be's - plus i also thought the title was negative. "introduce yourself" just seems like working stiffs, rehashed. a "noteworthy players", "up and coming bassists", or "great unkowns" section would have been a lot better IMO. this is kind of luck of the draw - they like what you write - they put in the mag. you could suck bigtime - don't matter. oh well.

i am happy for the recognition. guess i have to wait a little longer for the feature profile.

i must add that bill leigh truly bends over backwards to make the readers happy. i never saw anyone try as hard and honestly as he does. he's in a rough spot. it's impossible to please everyone and no matter what gets done somebody's gonna hate it. he's done lots for me in the past year and i appreciate it bigtime.

That is a big frown.

The euro is working your way, is it not? Should be getting cheaper.

Well, looking at the link above, it'd be less than half of that if I were to subscribe and get it airmailed.

Firstly, thanks for interpretation Chet!

Brewer it does seem lately that they give a little more space to rock, but hopefully some more of your bag will make it's way in there.

Why not write in & request some? Bill seems like a decent fella......
