Hi Doc... Ya, that's me... You've done some favors for a friend of mine up here in Ottawa too - you did the "go between" thing for Kurt (Accept2 on the JCF) on an eBay auction when the seller didn't want to ship to Canada... nice to see ya!

The Axis has a tummy contour in the back, the pickup selector is moved to a more "conventional" location, and the fingerboard was widened by 1/32" at the body end only (which means it's about 1/64" wider around the tenth fret, and the same size as the EVH at the nut). Those are the only differences that I'm aware of.

...and ACTUALLY...2 MORE DIFFERENCES...

...the Axis DOESN'T have "the KING of 6 STRINGS and 10 FINGERS" NAME on the headstock...

...and an Axis can be had for about 1/3 to 1/2 the PRICE of an EVH Signature !!!

and, YEAH - Jimi...I was MORE THAN HAPPY to help Kurt {Accept2} out on that deal..or ANY of YOU GUYS that NEED it - for THAT MATTER !!!!

Here's a couple of pics of my emerald green Axis. Anyone else on the forum have one in this color?

I'm almost wishing that I paid for the upcharge on the top, after seeing the quilt with the Pacific Blue Burst.

I really should take a non-live still shot of that guitar and clean it up a little bit; the above pic doesn't do the quilt or the color justice.

Here's what I'll do, I'll take a picture of all of my guitars together once I get my SUB1, which should be within the next 3 weeks!

Thanks Doc! Yeah, I like quilt tops better myself too, but I never have been able to run across a good deal on one. I got the green one for about 6 bills and some change from Ebay.

BTW, I've been going to your website for years it seems. That's a helluva axe collection you have there.

THANKS, Jake !!!!...I actually let a number of my PERSONAL ones GO {I was OVER the "Century" mark}, but I STILL have around 80 or so...

...The INTERESTING thing IS...I amassed this collection in about 3 YEARS...I started collecting when I LEFT my "EVIL MISTRESS", and QUIT DRINKING ALCOHOL !!!! {that was 07/16/00}

BEFORE that, I had THREE GUITARS !!!! - One of those cheapie $500.00 "The Paul" flat top Gibson Les Pauls, a MIM Fender Strat, and a $75.00 POS Yamaha - and THEY were CONSTANTLY - IN and OUT of the pawn shop...I started building and collecting guitars for something to do - and NEVER LOOKED BACK !!!

...they say in my AA groups - and it's TRUE...

"GOOD THINGS HAPPEN...to DRUNKS that DON'T DRINK !!!!
